DESCRIPTION

This vintage, surface-mounted 4-way black Bakelite junction box accents any living or work space with a classic industrial design.  Typically found in East German factories, public buildings and even in private homes (there was a large underground bartering system during the socialist regime). This type of box was mounted in wet areas like basements and outdoor walls or dry areas, like attics and workspaces. 

We have carefully, inspected, cleaned and polished each piece to assure that they are in excellent working condition. We make sure that every part is original. 

This box has four leads which can be closed off with seals and caps. The front cap, which proudly displays the technical information, screws off to access the internal the wiring junction. The internal branch insert is also made of Bakelite. On the outside of the housing are two screw mounting points. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and is easily mounted to any wall or ceiling.
